Shareholder Policy

As a society owned by its members for the benefit of its members, we commit to:

Processing new membership, increased shareholdings and withdrawals within 10 working days of receipt of your instructions, if they are received with the appropriate supporting documentation;
Full welcome packs issued within a month of receipt of the application;
Telephone messages returned within 48 working hours of having been logged;
Complaints or queries on membership matters dealt with within 15 working days of receipt. More complex matters may take longer, but in any event should be resolved within a month of receipt

As a member of the Society, you have a number of rights:

The right to receive details of, and to attend, the Annual General Meeting and any Special General Meetings, as may be convened from time to time;
The right to receive, free of charge, a copy of the Society Rules on joining and, subsequently, on request;
The right to stand for election to the Board of Directors;
The right to propose motions at the Annual General Meeting, and to vote at Annual General Meetings and Special General Meetings;
Where an election to the Board of Directors is required, the right to vote in that election for your preferred candidate(s);
The right to an Annual Shares Statement, and also following a change in shareholding, or on request;
The right to withdraw shareholding, subject to the prevailing provisions of the Society Rules. Remember, HF Holidays’ shareholdings are withdrawable share capital. Your risk is limited to your shareholding

Our communications are dependent on members advising the Society of any change of address and other contact details. To enable us to maintain our contact with you through Members News and to ensure that you can fully participate in the future of the Society, please contact the Membership department and check that our records are up to date
