Latest developments at our Country Houses

Redecoration and refurbishment

As usual we have been busy with improvements over the winter months.

Many bedrooms and bathrooms have been redecorated at Selworthy, Haytor, Derwentwater and Alnmouth, including the complete refurbishment of some. The lounge at Malhamdale has been redecorated, completing the refurbishment of the public rooms at Newfield Hall. We have also extended the central heating at Bourton-on-the-Water to all rooms.

Less visible to guests, but equally important, are improvements to the kitchens at Alnmouth, Sedbergh and Whitby. In addition we have been carrying out essential maintenance to the fabric of some of the buildings, including the windows at Abingworth and Selworthy, and a new roof on the coach house at Dolgellau.
