Visit the Isle of Wight this May	20 April 05

May is a great time to visit the Isle of Wight and stay at our Country House accommodation at Freshwater Bay as there are many fantastic events just waiting for you to enjoy.

The UK’s largest walking festival is held on the Isle of Wight from 7 to 22 May. Over the 16 days there will be more than 100 walks offered, covering over 500 miles of footpaths and bridleways. Come and take part and enjoy the glorious scenery with many breathtaking reasons not to take shortcuts.

Brecons newly repaired promenade officially opened	13 April 05

Just in time for spring, volunteers from one of the UK s leading practical conservation charities, BTCV Cymru, have hammered home the final signpost marking the completion of the newly restored footpath along the Brecon Promenade. HF Holidays are proud to fund such a worthy project that will enable more people to enjoy this wonderful walk. Peter Chapman, our Chief Executive joined the volunteers, who between them have dedicated 798 hours of work with a value of over £7,000 to the project, and Brecon Beacons National Park Authority staff for a walk along the Promenade. Peter Chapman personally thanked the volunteers and staff for their months of hard work to improve access to the well-used path for local people and visitors. HF Holidays contribution has enabled BTCV to train people in a range of practical activities on the site which have included boardwalk repair, building new kissing gates and fresh signposting and there have already been discussions about funding future projects in Wales. Who Won the Outdoors Show prize draw	04 April 05
