| British Airways and Climate Care team up |

A new government-backed scheme has been launched by British Airways and Climate Care where customers are given the opportunity to help offset the carbon dioxide emissions from their flight by making a contibution to the environmental trust.
Climate Care will use all money raised for sustainable energy projects that tackle global warming by reducing the carbon dioxide levels.
Air travellers will be able to donate via a link on British Airways website .

| UK House of the Year awards evening |

Following the festivities of Christmas and New Year we at HF Holidays were still celebrating into January. Derwent Bank Country House accommodation in the Lake District was host to this year's annual awards ceremony. The winners are all voted for by guests via their Customer Satisfaction survey, therefore it's your decision, which makes the awards highly valued by all our Country House accommodation.
The top award of House of the Year went to Pitlochry after achieving an outstanding standard and being placed in the top 2 of all the award categories.
Mariano Marcos and his team were delighted to receive this award, they work hard to make each holiday special and the results show that their guests appreciate this. Mariano & Tiia Marcos have taken their award with them to Bourton-on-the-Water, click here to visit them this year.
Results as usual were close, high standards were set and therefore a few of the awards were presented jointly. With very little to choose between many of our Country House accommodation all managers and staff receive an special praise .
