2010 – Last chance to visit with HF Holidays.

Our New Brunswick and the Fundy Isles holiday to Eastern Canada has been running successfully for 16 years now, an incredibly long running holiday and an old favourite!

The holiday was set up in the 1994 with help from our local partner Nancy Sears of Fundy Hiking and Nature Tours.  Nancy herself is a keen walker and leads each holiday. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a great passion for her part of Canada – which is very much an undiscovered gem.

We are very sad to say that the Fundy holidays for 2010 will be the last that Nancy will operate, as she moves on to other plans. Without Nancy, we will not be able to offer successful holidays in this area. So for any of our guests who would like to visit this part of Canada and experience Nancy’s fantastic leader skill, book for 2010 as it will be the last year we are offering this tour.

The Bay of Fundy is located off the northern coast of Maine and extends into Canada between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. This beautiful wilderness is home to 50-foot tides, astounding coastal panoramas and interesting French and British pioneer history, not to mention remarkable marine wildlife.  

Every day brings a new adventure: enjoy wonderful coastal walks, including tidal trails and systems of boardwalks through waterfowl habitats; see 300 million year old fossils; walk through picturesque old fishing villages on Grand Manan Island; explore Mary’s Point reserve, home to one of the most important shorebird migrations in the world and go whale watching hoping to see minke, humpback, rare northern Atlantic right whales and more sealife besides.

All the while we stay in character inns and guesthouses some just steps away from the beaches and with beautiful ocean views, some in charming historic towns and lively little cities with waterfronts ideal for strolling down.
