This week is Make Holidays Greener Week.

In support with the Travel Foundation this week is to understand how you can make small changes on your holiday that can make a huge difference.

Why?

We all want to enjoy our holidays for a long time to come, everyone loves getting away from it all. We need to protect the environment and the local communities in every place we choose to explore or relax in.

How?

It’s very simple. There are a few ways we can all help in every destination. Try and do at least three on your next holiday with HF Holidays.

- Buy locally. Already all of our Country Houses buy as much produce as possible locally, when your out and about, buy from markets or stalls or take a break from exploring and visit that beautiful local coffee shop.

- Take a shower instead of a bath.

- Turn your lights off when you don’t need them.

- Reuse towels and bed linen where possible.

- Turn the heating off when you don’t need it.

There you go, very simple – try to do at least three and hopefully we can protect our holidays for as long as possible and for many generations to come.
