Experience the Camino de Santiago

Obradoiro nocturno Our Trails Product Manager, Steven Purdham, recently travelled to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain, the historic city which marks the end of the world-famous Camino de Santiago:

“This is truly a fantastic city and a momentous end point for our Camino de Santiago trail holiday. Guests following the final section of this famous route are in for a real treat. No visit to Santiago de Compostela would be complete without visiting the cathedral. This is the centrepiece of the city’s beautiful historic centre and is a must-see. However, there is much to see in the city besides: vibrant seafood markets, and narrow streets lined with interesting shops and cafés. There is a host of museums, ancient convents and remarkable architecture at the new City of Culture. Great walking, a sense of achievement and a spirit unlike any other trail, combined with the chance to explore this city, makes for a really exciting 2012 holiday.
