Cycling towards Venice

Gondolas in Venice This summer's success of our cycling heroes has triggered a boost in our European cycling holidays with options including guided tours, self-guided tours, family cycling, ‘Bike & Boat’ and ‘Relax & Cycle’ combinations.

As an example of the guided itineraries available, our eight-day Waterways towards Venice ‘bike and boat’ guided holiday combines daily cycling, following the flat terrain of the River Po from Mantova to Venice, with accommodation aboard the standard barge, Vita Pugna or the completely refurbished luxury vessel, Ave Maria.

Other highlights include the castle, cathedral and ancient city walls at Ferrara, Chioggia (Little Venice) with its narrow streets and network of canals, the ancient harbour of Malamocco together with the abundant bird life of the marshes and lagoons of the Po Delta.
