Palma’s Oktoberfest - successful in its second year

Walkers enjoying the view on the Mallorca coastThis is the second year for Palma’s latest annual festival and so far it looks like Oktoberfest has broken its previous visitor record.

The event, which started on September 21st and runs for three weeks, had an expanded capacity this year after last year’s festival turned out to be a massive success. The event is held in Sa Riera Park on Cami de Jesus, with marquees set up to accommodate around 1,500 beer and ale lovers. It’s not just about the beer though and, as with last year, there’s a whole range of fantastic food on offer as well. It’sa great event for visitors to the island, providing the ideal break for those enjoying our walking holidays in Spain and its islands. The event finished on 14 October, but you needn’t worry if you missed out this year as Palma's Oktoberfest will return in 2013.
