Whats new in our 2013 walking brochure?

Our 2013 Walking and outdoor holidays brochure is now available with a full range of walking holidays from our new Country Houses in Beddgelert, Lulworth Cove and Church Stretton as well as Peveril of the Peak, our new Country House in Dovedale.

There are now a choice of 3 walks available from Beddgelert and Sedbergh with options of easier, medium and harder routes each day. There are also new walk programmes at Dolgellau and Church Stretton as well as new coastal walks from Haytor.

If you prefer shorter walks whilst taking in the views then our Discovery Walks are for you. These holidays offer walks up to 4 miles with fascinating sightseeing visits uncovering Britain's rich landscapes and heritage.


Why not combine guided walking with your favourite pastime on our Walks with a Theme? This section of the brochure, found on pages 68 and 69, has a range of activity holidays that include guided walking. Most of these holidays offer walks upto 5 miles.

Alternatively, if you enjoy longer walks, then our new Challenge Walks are for you. These holidays offer walks up to 16 miles and run along side medium walks.

Adventurous Walks are great for walkers who enjoy some of our high mountain areas. We have a new Ridges & Scrambles holiday in Beddgelert as well as new High Routes holidays from Conistonwater and Brecon.

If that was not enough, we have also introduced seven new Guided Trails in UK and Europe, including four new trails from our Country Houses and two new European Guided Trails in Italy and Spain.

Our Island Hopping holidays are more popular than ever and we now offer a new Island Hopping holiday to the Channel Islands hopping between Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm. You can even combine this holiday with our Guided Trail on Jersey Coast Path to make for a great two weeks on the Channel Islands.

Although we no longer operate Self-Guided Trails, our popular Freedom Breaks are ideal for self-guided walking. With each booking you’ll receive an information guide and free Ordnance Survey Explorer Map of the local area. In addition you can now download maps and directions for local walks from the Freedom Breaks section of our website.
