If you’re thinking of taking one of our Cycling holidays around Provence next year, then there’s an excellent opportunity to experience some impressive sculpture.
The Arles Antique Museum will be hosting an exhibition titled ‘Rodin, the light of the Ancient’. The exhibition will focus on the famous works of Auguste Rodin, a sculptor who is often considered to be the progenitor of modern sculpture. That’s not to say he sought to escape from the past however and, as the title would suggest, this exhibition focuses on a number of his sculptures influenced by the ancient world.
The museum is dedicating over 1000m2 to the display and it will feature over 125 works, including sculptures, designs and studies donated by over thirty private lenders and public institutions. The exhibition should make for a great afternoon out and will run from 5 April – 1 September next year.
We also offer other cycling holidays in France.
