Cooking and walking in Italy

"A warm welcome awaited us at the Grotta Azzura Hotel in Norcia, where the hospitality of the Bianconi family and its staff is second to none.

This holiday is not just about cooking & walking; although we all enjoy the chance to cook and eat Italian food and walk through the rolling Umbrian countryside.

Front door and quiet street outside the Hotel Grotta Azzura Other experiences include a day in the historic hilltop town of Montefalco, a visit to an olive oil press to hear from its 3rd generation owner how the finest olive oil is produced and the Arnaldo- Caprai vineyard with its far reaching views. This was our perfect backdrop for a glass of vino.

However, the highlight for many was truffle hunting with two wonderful dogs and their owner. They brought a smile to our faces as they truly enjoyed their work.

A very enjoyable week came to an end and we all enjoyed another delicious dinner in wonderful company, toasted to the great time we had together and sharing our thoughts about this week's highlights."
