Cornwall comes first in UK tourism top ten

Boats in St Ives harbour at low tide The Countryfile magazine recently released its top ten list for holiday destinations in the UK, with Cornwall topping the list.

The choice for the number one spot was no surprise for many – guests on our walking and activity holidays in St Ives will be able to attest to the region’s beauty. The magical coves, sandy beaches and enchanting fishing villages will offer inspiration to guests on Landscape Painting holidays, while those on Discovery Tours will enjoy the quiet corners away from the crowds. Cornwall also came second in the ‘Favourite regional dish’ list, with its famous pasty being narrowly beaten by the Devon cream tea.

Other familiar names in the top five include the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, both popular destinations for our holidays, with similarly spectacular scenery.

The awards overall were a celebration of all Britain has to offer and a reminder that there are some great holiday choices out there.
