Flavours of Sardinia

Sardinia cycling 2013 will see a number of new and exciting destinations being introduced to our Cycling brochure, one of which is our fantastic Sardinian itinerary. Our programme takes in the enchanting old towns of Alghero, Bosa and Santu Lussurgiu and offers a great way to see Sardinia at its very best. This is the first HF Holidays' cycle tour to be graded as “Harder” as it takes in some fairly challenging hills in places, but make no mistake this is one of the most rewarding cycling holidays you could possibly choose to make.

A particular highlight is the charming town of Santu Lussurgiu with a night spent at beautiful Antica Dimora del Gruccione, a tastefully restored 17th century mansion, managed and run by the same family for the last four centuries. The food here is simply exquisite, with all the cuisine cooked and prepared using the principals of the “Slow Food” movement using exclusively fresh produce, all from small Sardinian producers. This is served with warm, inviting hospitality in a beautifully restored dining room, a genuine experience for all discerning foodies!
