Close up of a saxophone during a performance The Scarborough Jazz Festival taking place between 28-30 September 2012, has already been awarded 'Festival of the Year' at the Jazz Yorkshire Awards 2012 and has been nominated for the 'Live Jazz Award of the Year' in the 2012 Parliamentary Jazz Awards.

BBC Radio 3's Jazz Line-Up will be recorded at the festival and the BBC will be broadcasting some acts following the event.
