Following on from the news of Yorkshire winning their Tour de France bid comes news of the finalised stages around the UK.
If you are a fan of the North of England, you’ll be pleased by the newly announced routes which take in some of the best of the region's countryside. Stage one runs from Leeds to Harrogate, passing through towns such as Skipton and Hawes. Stage two kicks off in York and runs to Sheffield, passing through the likes of Keighley and Huddersfield. Finally, stage three is for the south of the country, running from Cambridge, through Epping Forest and into London, finishing on the Mall.
This is the fourth time the tour has visited the UK with the last visit in 2007 when London hosted the opening stage.
