You have some kitchen experience and
are looking to develop your skills.
You will be aware of food and kitchen
standards and conform to the highest standards at
all times.
You are capable of assisting the
Head Chef in the preparation of consumables and
to relieve in the absence of the Deputy Head Chef.
About the position
Assist the Head Chef and Deputy Head Chef.
To prepare all garnishes to accompany the main meal and sweet courses.
To prepare the sweet courses.
To assist in the preparation of picnic lunches.
Maintain standards of food and kitchen hygiene.
Maintain standards in food preparation.
To relieve in the Deputy Head Chef, Kitchen Assistant and Kitchen Porters absence.
Development opportunities
Opportunities exist to transfer to other Houses
if you wish, on recommendation of the House Manager.
Once you have been in post for an appropriate
length of time and have the necessary skills, there
will be opportunities to develop to Deputy Head
Chef, on the recommendation of the House Manager.
Accommodation
Each week there is an offset against wages of £30.10 for accommodation and
a charge of £11.45 for food (if required), this would include all meals for 7 days.
