You are committed to producing high-quality
English food.
You have either City and Guilds 706/1/2
or equivalent or the equivalent experience.
You are capable of assisting the Head Chef in
the preparation of consumables and to relieve in
the absence of the Head Chef.
You understand that you have a part to contribute
to our guests’ enjoyment of their holiday.
You will work with confidence and lead by example
with the Head Chef in the production of food and
kitchen management.
You will respond positively to the knowledge that
guests have the opportunity to feedback on the quality
of their food while on holiday and respond well
to a results driven environment.
About the position
Assist the Head Chef.
Prepare all meals, garnishes to accompany the main meal and sweet courses.
Prepare sweet courses.
Maintain standards of food and kitchen hygiene.
Maintain standards in food preparation.
Relieve in the Head Chef's absence.
Development opportunities
Opportunities exist to transfer to
other Houses if you wish, on recommendation of the
House Manager.
Once you have been in post for an appropriate
length of time, there will be opportunities to develop
to Head Chef on the recommendation of the House
Manager.
Accommodation
Each week there is an offset against wages of £31.22 for accommodation and
a charge of £11.45 for food (if required), this would include all meals for 7 days.
