You may have experience as a Kitchen
Porter elsewhere or maybe you wish to begin your
catering career with real experience of what is
involved.
You understand the importance of hygiene and high
kitchen standards.
You will be capable of moving heavy equipment
safely without the risk of injury.
You will be conscientious, happy to work back
until the job is done if necessary.
About the position
To clean all kitchen and food preparation areas.
To clean outside dustbin areas and to dispose of rubbish in line with House requirements.
To clean all kitchen equipment.
To lift and move heavy equipment.
To prepare vegetables and salads.
To assist in the preparation of picnic lunches
Development opportunities
Opportunities exist to transfer to
other Houses if you wish, on recommendation of the
House Manager.
Once you have been in post for an appropriate
length of time, there will be opportunities to develop
to Assistant Chef, on the recommendation of the
House Manager.
Accommodation
Each week there is an offset against wages of £31.22 for accommodation and a charge of £11.45 for food (if required), this would include all meals for 7 days.
