| Itinerary |

42 miles. 7-10½ miles and up to 300ft of ascent in a day. |
Day 1: arrival day.
Day 2: starting at Lower Beeding we’ll follow the infant river through the Sussex Weald to Staplefield Common.
Day 3: meander through beautiful wooded countryside to the pretty village of Lindfield.
Day 4: continue through woodland to the Bluebell Railway at Sheffield Park, before ending the day at Newick.
Day 5: free day to explore or walk independently.
Day 6: follow the riverbank of the maturing Ouse for most of the day, discovering its industrial past, to the historic county town of Lewes.
Day 7: explore the tidal river and its downland communities as we head to the mouth at the port of Newhaven, before completing the trail at Seaford.
Day 8: departure day.
