69 miles. 12 -14 miles and up to 2,800ft of ascent
in a day. |
Day 1: arrival day.
Day 2: enjoy classic limestone country from Malham to
Horton-in-Ribblesdale, with an ascent of Pen y ghent, one of Yorkshire’s
famous ‘three peaks’.
Day 3: continue over remote Cam Fell to Hawes in beautiful
Wensleydale.
Day 4: an invigorating day over Great Shunner Fell to Keld in
Swaledale.
Day 5: across remote moorland to Tan Hill Inn, England’s highest
hostelry, and Bowes.
Day 6: wilderness walking over Bowes Moor finishing at the
historic market town of Middleton-in-Teesdale.
Day 7: departure day.
