Your journey along the Danube is a classic cycling route with sensational scenery to inspire you along the way. In Austria, starting at the pretty town of Schärding, we follow the Danube and cycle towards Passau. This stretch of river is steeped in history and you’ll encounter plenty of impressive historical sights along the way; from the baroque Wilhering monastery to St Folrian’s Abbey, you’ll also catch glimpses of the impressive Habsburg castle. As well as enjoying lovely traffic-free routes there’s plenty of time to explore some of the fascinating towns of the Danube, including Enns. The last part of your tour will cruise through more medieval towns and beautiful vineyards before finishing in Vienna. Discover beautiful places on two wheels with HF Holidays and Saddle Skedaddle.
