Meadows & hills
Difficulty is measured on many factors such as distance, ascent/descent, terrain, weather and more. There's no magic formula, but from our experience we use yellow for easy, orange for medium and red for hard. Challenger holidays require a high level of fitness and stamina.
Our Self-guided Walking holidays offer the chance to explore independently whilst following our carefully planned walks at your own pace. Located on the Seefeld Plateau, this mountain resort offers easier walks and an excellent public transport network. Cross Alpine meadows, walk to the beautiful lake at Wildmoos and reward yourself with the coffee and cake culture. These holidays offer Bed & Breakfast, with the option to add evening meals as you wish.

An introduction to the area
Set in verdant and gentle countryside, Weidach is a typical Tirolean village and one of the 24 hamlets in the 16km long Leutasch Valley. On many days we can walk straight from the hotel along the walking trails that explore the plateau.
There are 150km of well-groomed walking trails criss-crossing the plateau. With its many restaurants and leisure faculties, you are ensured a warm welcome at every turn.
Seefeld - If you would like to stay close to Weidach you may like to head to the village of Seefeld (short bus journey).Take time to wander around the many shops, restaurants and bars. An ideal place to buy souvenirs and gifts. From Seefeld you could take the funicular ride up the mountain to Rosshutte or a horse and carriage ride to local attractions. Also at Seefeld, there is the large indoor and open-air (heated) pool and leisure complex, tennis courts and the Wildmoos Plateau Golf Course.
Weidach - In Weidach the Alpenbad is a short walk away with its modern leisure pool facilities. You can use the free mountain bikes from the hotel or have a Nordic Walking lesson from the hotel.
Mittenwald – This is an excellent place to visit with shops and cafés and a cable car to the mountain top. Known for house paintings and its violin museum, you can get a direct bus from Weidach with an additional €1.90 to the bus pass.
Innsbruck - A little further afield, Innsbruck is an attractive, compact city with its famous ‘Golden Roof’ and beautiful, historic buildings. It offers excellent shopping and a wide selection of restaurants. The excellent railway service from Seefeld provides a cheap and efficient means to visit the Innsbruck, the ‘Capital of the Alps’ and the historic capital of Tirol. The views from the train are breath-taking. Places to visit include the Imperial Palace, the Royal Gardens, the cathedral and various churches of particular interest.
