Sunday Stroll - Adventure 1

Enjoy a Sunday Stroll in Yorkshire this Spring

The met office has said this weekend looks like being “not too shabby”. High pressure is building from the south west so why not take possibly the last weekend chance this year to see one of nature’s wonders in Farndale, NW of Pickering in the heart of the North York Moors? Every year thousands of wild daffodils spring up along the banks of the River Dove in a spectacular display which draws visitors from far and wide. This year looks like being one of the best in ages; and if you want to stretch things out a bit we’d recommend you walk up on Blakey Ridge as well as down in the sheltered Dale itself above Low Mill, for a lovely contrast. If you’re not so confident with map and compass

If you’re not so confident with map and compass there are lots of walks available online, including ones from the National Park itself (see http://www.northyorkmoors.org.uk).

And to complete the trip, check out the Daffy Caffy at High Mill. Our walkers love it!”
