Our main activity is walking. There are four walks on Wednesdays ranging from 5/6 miles, 7/8 miles, 9/10 miles and 10+ miles. There are walks each week on Saturday and Sunday. During the summer we hold a weekly Thursday evening walk and have a monthly challenge walk. Whilst some walks are in the Bolton area we also travel further afield in Lancashire and visit The Lakes, Yorkshire and the Peak District.
There are several coach trips throughout the year and social events such as a Ceilidh, lunches, pub meets and an annual dinner.

|HF Sheffield Group was formed over 90 years ago. Currently, there are three rambling opportunities each week: Wednesday 6 - 8 miles; Saturday (A) 8 - 9 miles; (B) 5 - 6 miles. We pride ourselves on being a friendly group. From time to time various members of the group may organise other social activities. We are always open to suggestions for additional events or activities. Anyone interested in joining the group is welcome to walk with us on a few occasions before deciding whether they would like to become a member. Members pay a small annual subscription to cover our overheads. Our aim is not only to enjoy exercise and fresh air, but also to have time to enjoy the countryside we visit.

|Walking holidays in England and Europe and aimed at the 55 - 75 age group, (although there is no upper imit in reality), with good accommodation and food at the end of each day and mixing together at all times. All holidays led by a small group of leaders who become known to the groups and part of the group. All walks graded easy tomoderate but with much history and beauty as a pre requisite.
