|We are a small group keen to walk the higher mountain land of Wales as well as coastal areas and nearby forests and woodlands. We walk on the second Sunday of each month when walks range over much of South Wales. You need not be a member to join a walk but if not you will be asked for a visitor's fee of £1. We hold an Annual General Meeting/social at which we plan our walking programme for the year and also a Midsummer's Party. We occasionally organise walking breaks of 3 or 4 nights in the UK, the last of which was in Shropshire when the group stayed at HF Holidays' The Longmynd Hotel.

|Our walking group is for the over 50s. Our walks take place on Wednesday mornings in the second and fourth weeks of each month for members in our catchment area of Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire, hence our name NEW meaning North East Wales. Our walks are from four to six miles in duration and are graded difficult, moderate and easy.

|We are a very active club with over 120 members. We organise walks every Saturday, have several mid-week walks and also organise meals out, a coach holiday every year and other social events. We have a Facebook page, where a report, often with photos, of every walk is posted.
