For over 50 years the Pathways Fund has provided assisted holidays to those who could not otherwise afford one. In addition, since 1998, the fund has helped to protect and improve the countryside where HF Holidays’ guests walk. This is achieved through generous donations from HF Holidays’ members and guests. Last year alone we raised over £30,000 with the help from members, guests and corporate donations.
Key expenditure from donations has gone towards:
£5,000 towards work to replace a flood-hit bridge in the Yorkshire Dales National Park
£2,500 towards the purchase of a new vehicle for Buxton Mountain Rescue Team
£2,000 for repairs to the Sligachan path over to Loch Corruisk on Skye
£16,800 awarded to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority for repairs to the Ingleborough Allotment footpath
We have also teamed up with the Family Holiday Association to provide Feel Good Breaks.
These are designed to reward urban families with the gift of a break away in the outdoors, and the chance to spend quality time together and to meet other families.
You can help us continue this work by donating to the Pathways Fund either at one of our Country Houses in the UK, or by sending it to HF Holidays Pathways Fund, Catalyst House, Centennial Park, Elstree, Hertfordshire, WD6 3SY.
We would welcome your nominations for assisted holidays or projects.
