We are an informal and friendly group of people who enjoy walking in the glorious Devon countryside and further afield – Dartmoor, Exmoor, SW Coast Path, Somerset, W.Dorset and north Cornwall. Guided walks are arranged on Sundays with sometimes a choice of two levels. Some short walks are arranged on weekdays which are followed by a pub lunch. We also enjoy an annual holiday or short break, an annual lunch & AGM and social occasions throughout the year. More details on our web-site.

Nailsea and District Group offers the opportunity to explore the beautiful around North Somerset. The Group offers a wide variety of walks for all ages and abilities including whole-day and half-day walks, both during the week and at weekends. The walks range from easy 4 mile strolls to more challenging rambles of up to 12 miles. Many walks are local but the programme also includes nearby beauty spots such as The Mendips, Quantocks, Cotswolds and Welsh Hills. Details of the walks are given in the programme, which is published three times a year, and can be found on the Group’s website. Local libraries and notice boards also advertise the walks. An important aim of the group is to encourage people to walk the definitive Rights of Way in Nailsea and adjoining parishes, and so enjoy the local countryside. In doing this they help to preserve and protect the many local footpaths, which are so often under threat. The Group also makes appropriate representations on issues where public rights of way are involved.

We are a small group keen to walk the higher mountain land of Wales as well as coastal areas and nearby forests and woodlands. We walk on the second Sunday of each month when walks range over much of South Wales. You need not be a member to join a walk but if not you will be asked for a visitor's fee of £1. We hold an Annual General Meeting/social at which we plan our walking programme for the year and also a Midsummer's Party. We occasionally organise walking breaks of 3 or 4 nights in the UK, the last of which was in Shropshire when the group stayed at HF Holidays' The Longmynd Hotel.
