We’re proud to own and manage 16 country houses across the UK, each located in some of our best-loved national parks and National Landscapes. So whether you love coast, countryside, or a little bit of both, we've got cosy Victorian manors, elegant Georgian mansions, converted granaries, restored farmhouses, lakeside hideaways, and much more. And with full-board dining included, everything is taken care of.

Dovedale, Peak District

Named after Sir Walter Scott’s Peak District-set novel, this house is less than a mile from the famous Dovedale Stepping Stones and on the doorstep of Thorpe Cloud.

Lee Wood Hotel

Buxton, Central Peak District

A new HF Country House for 2027, the Lee Wood Hotel is our 43-bedroom Georgian property in the historic spa town of Buxton, opening 29 January 2027 with a special celebratory launch week. Not only does our newest country house have excellent rail connections, with Buxton station only a short walk away, it also has easy access to a wonderful variety of Peak District walking routes.

Derwent Bank

Portinscale, Northern Lake District

Monk Coniston

Coniston, Southern Lake District
