A warm welcome to Dolserau Hall

Dolserau Hall is our charming Victorian manor house in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. Surrounded by five acres of gardens and sweeping views of Cadair Idris, it offers 21 elegant rooms, sociable dining, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, just minutes from the market town of Dolgellau. 

Thanks to your feedback, this beautiful house will return with a refreshed programme of guided and self-guided walks, a light refresh of public spaces, and more single rooms - all designed to make your stay even more enjoyable.

To mark the occasion, we’re hosting a special celebratory opening week from 20th March 2026, and we’d love for you to join us as we welcome Dolserau Hall back into the HF Holidays collection.

For six weeks each year, Dolserau Hall will be reserved exclusively for guests and members travelling solo. With just 21 rooms, the country house offers a warm and inviting space that lends itself perfectly to creating a friendly atmosphere ideal for meeting new people, sparking conversations, and sharing great experiences.

There will be a maximum of 21 guests at the hotel, with two leaders - giving it that small group feel. Whether you’re new to travelling solo or simply enjoy the freedom it brings, you’ll be in the company of like-minded guests.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by a dedicated Solo host, there to ensure everyone feels at ease and included. Your holiday begins with a welcome drinks reception, and ends with a farewell dinner with drinks included—perfect opportunities to connect, reflect, and celebrate the week together.

Evenings bring everyone together to swap stories around our shared dining tables, sip a drink at the bar, or take part in optional activities. These special departures are all about friendship, fresh air, and enjoying great company in a beautiful setting.
