Important Notice for Members: Monday 15 June 2026
It is important that we can stay in contact with you. Please let us know if you changed your details (postal address, your email address, or telephone number).
If your details have changed and you have not updated us, we take reasonable steps to obtain a forwarding address, e.g., by writing to your last known email address.
Under Rule 13 of the Society’s Rules, if the Society Secretary has evidence that a member is no longer contactable at their registered address, and after making reasonable attempts to get in touch, that membership may be treated as ceased.
What happens if we cannot contact you
If we hear nothing within two calendar months of the date of this notice, the membership may be treated as ceased. Shares will be cancelled, and any unclaimed balances will be moved to a suspense account. Balances left unclaimed for two years will be ceded to the Society. Shareholdings can still be claimed at any time by the member (or by another person who is legally entitled to them, with supporting proof) and will be repaid with any applicable interest.
Our recent activities to contact members
In October and November 2025, and January 2026, we attempted to contact a number of Members for whom we believed we may not have the correct contact details, requesting that they contact the Society Secretary within two months of the date of the letters to update or confirm their address records. The shares of those members who did not respond have now been transferred to a suspense account, and their membership has ceased in accordance with Rule 13 mentioned above.
