[title] => Your Sea Shanty Holiday
[introduction] =>
[description] => Dive into the rich history and purpose of sea shanties, learning vocal warm-ups, breathing techniques, and performance tips to help you sing with confidence. Guided by Nicole, you’ll sing classic shanties while also crafting your own original shanty inspired by your holiday experience. With time to collaborate, rehearse, and refine your creations, the weekend culminates in a relaxed and joyful evening concert, where you can share your songs and celebrate with fellow guests.
You’ll come together at 9:30 in the morning for a series of workshop sessions led by Nicole. The session will last around 3 hours and include a mid-morning break.
All our sessions have been crafted to suit a range of abilities and both absolute beginners and seasoned singers are welcome. There are no expectations, just turn up and sing – it’s all about taking part and having fun.
Afternoons are left free from 12:30 to 17:00, giving you the chance to independently explore the stunning surroundings of our country house. Perhaps visit a local attraction, borrow one of our easy-to-follow walking routes, or simply relax.
In the evening, we’ll regroup for two more, hour-long sessions, one pre-dinner starting at 17:00, and one following.
