DANCING FOR BEGINNERS AND EXPERIENCED DANCER ALIKE, AT OUR COUNTRY HOUSES
There's a lot to be said for a few days given over to dancing. Our dancing holidays bring people together to learn new steps or polish the ones they have, led by experienced teachers who know how to start a complete beginner off and how to stretch dancers who've been at it for years. The days fall into an easy pattern of tutored morning sessions and free afternoons, with a social dance in the evening to bring everyone back together. You stay at one of our country houses, with full board and good company, in some of the finest countryside in the UK.
Learning to dance
Our Introduction to Dance holidays are the place to begin, or to build on the basics. Mornings are given over to tutored classes with an experienced teacher who takes the steps slowly and clearly, at a pace that brings complete beginners along and still gives improvers something to work at.
You'll have time through the day to practise what you've learned, and the afternoons are free to rest or explore the countryside around the house before the evening comes around. Each day ends with a relaxed social dance, a chance to put the morning's steps into practice among friendly company, with no pressure and no need to have danced before.
For more experienced dancers
Our Come & Dance holidays are for those who already dance and want to take it further. The focus is Ballroom and Latin, with tutored morning sessions working on dances like the Foxtrot, Waltz, Samba and Jive under the eye of a professional teacher.
The afternoons are yours to explore the countryside or rest before the evening, and each day finishes with a social dance, which might take in a little sequence dancing too. You're welcome to come on your own, though many dancers find they get the most from these breaks with a partner along.
