Food at our country houses

Led by experienced chefs, the food and beverage teams at our 15 country houses are always working hard to come up with exciting new menus that change with the seasons. 

All of our UK country house stays are full-board, so you can enjoy a cooked or continental breakfast every morning, generous packed lunches, delicious three-course evening meals, and afternoon tea complete with freshly baked scones on arrival day.

From farm to fork

Using homegrown herbs and vegetables from our own gardens whenever possible, our carefully crafted menus ensure we offer delicious food made with only the freshest ingredients. To supplement what our grounds and gardens provide, we select the best produce from around the British Isles wherever we can.

A Taste of Your Destination

On Mondays, the Chef’s Special Dinner Menu showcases dishes created by our Head Chef, inspired by the heritage and seasonal produce of the local area. For example, stay at one of our Yorkshire Dales houses in spring and you might see Yorkshire lamb, Thirsk asparagus, and rhubarb from the famous Rhubarb Triangle on the menu.

At our licensed bars, we always have a selection of local craft beers and spirits, plus a range of soft drinks and award-winning wines.
