Our Family Walking Holidays are built so that members of every age can walk at their own level and still holiday together. Each day there's a choice of up to four guided walks, from short, easy routes for younger children to longer hikes for teenagers and adults, so youngest to oldest can each enjoy a walk that fits.
Running throughout the school holidays, these breaks are based at our HF Country Houses on a full-board basis and with all transport to and from walks included, there are no hidden extras to pay.

We’re big on choice, so you'll get to pick one of four guided walk options each day. We’ve got walks for little legs, trails for older children, and hikes that’ll keep the whole clan happy. Each walk is guided by an experienced HF Holidays Leader who knows a place best and how to make it fun and interesting for the family. Or for more flexibility and freedom, you can do things independently at your own pace using our easy-to-follow self-guided walking routes.

*Children under 11 go free on all Family Walking Adventure holidays. Maximum 3 children free per paying adult when sharing a bedroom. 11-17yrs pay £149 (2025) or £159 (2026) for 7 nights, £89 (2025) or £99 (2026) for 4 nights & £75 (2025) or £79 (2026) for 3 nights.
Family rooms are subject to availability. Sole occupancy charges may apply. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult on all walks, though this need not be a parent or guardian.
We also welcome children at our country houses at all other times of the year. 5 and under go free and 6-17yr olds pay 50% of the advertised adult brochure price. Other discounts and promotions cannot be used in conjunction with this offer.
