We’re delighted to announce that for 2024, the majority of our overseas holidays will include an HF Holidays Tour Manager. From handling all in-destination travel arrangements, to providing practical support and advice, our HF Holidays Tour Managers will ensure a seamless guest experience from start to finish. 

As a co-operative, HF Holidays is governed by a board of volunteer directors who are elected by the Society’s members. You can find out more about them on our website at hfholidays.co.uk/people. This board sets the strategic direction of the company and is made up of members who have a passion for walking holidays in the UK, Europe, and beyond. Collectively, it aims to reflect the interests and background of the wider membership.  

Applications to join our Board of Directors will open shortly. If you think you’ll make an ideal candidate and would like to join the board of an award-winning British heritage brand in its 110th year, please email our Society Secretary, Manuela Gordea for more information.

Membership lies at the heart of our business and by giving you a voice you become key to our future success.  That’s why you’re invited to submit a question related to the operations, strategy, or business of HF Holidays. The deadline to submit your query is midday on Wednesday 11 October 2023.  

All members will receive the 2023 Q&A recording by email or on the website from Sunday 29 October.

We’re proud to have hosted The Summit again at Larpool Hall, our Grade-II listed property in the North York Moors. The mission of this annual event is to inspire new and diverse communities of people to actively engage with the outdoors and share ideas in the natural environment.  

For the past three years, the organisation has held The Summit at our country houses, and we look forward to welcoming attendees again next year. With this ongoing partnership, HF Holidays is working hard to help make enjoying the great outdoors more inclusive for all.  

A huge thanks to broadcaster, archaeologist, charity fundraiser, and keen walker Mary-Ann Ochota for sharing her experience.

Last weekend we hosted our very first assisted holiday in partnership with Fences & Frontiers – a charity that aims to make the UK a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring place for refugees and asylum seekers to live in and settle. 

We welcomed 12 participants in the scheme and two of the charity’s volunteers to Abingworth Hall - our characterful country house in the South Downs. Coming from as far as El Salvador, Iran, and Kurdistan, the group enjoyed a three-day guided walking break with our HF Holidays Leader, Gill Holmes.

Gill said: “I was lucky enough to be leading at Abingworth last weekend with the first Fences and Frontiers group funded by the Pathways fund. The group had a great time and mixed well with the other guests.”

To date, the charity has been limited to offering breaks in London and surrounding areas only. But our pilot partnership with Fences & Frontiers will now enable them to offer annual trips to some of the most beautiful parts of the British countryside. We’d like to thank everyone involved for making this weekend a success.
