Now that we’re into the second half of 2023, it’s time to start thinking about what’s in store for 2024. From the highs of the Himalayas and Norway’s crane-your-neck fjords to Lake Garda’s crystalline shores, we’ve got a whole host of new holidays and improved itineraries for old favourites to inspire next year’s adventures.
Brand new holidays for 2024
Nepal: Walking in the Himalayas
Experience one of the world’s truly great travel adventures with a trip to Nepal. Led by our expert local guides and a fully-qualified mountain leader, you’ll take on the Mardi Himal – a lesser-travelled trail east of Annapurna base camp that ascends to heights of over 3,500m above sea level and takes in astonishing views over some of the highest peaks on the planet. Highlights include a visit to UNESCO-listed Patan, the chance to spot rare one-horned rhino in Chitwan National Park, and spending time in Kathmandu – Nepal’s intoxicating capital city.
Morocco: Walking in the Atlas Mountains
From the spine-tingling buzz of Marrakech’s medina to the heart-stirring serenity of the peaks and valleys in the Atlas Mountains, you’ll walk amongst some of Morocco’s most captivating scenery. A land of Berber villages, fruit-rich orchards, dizzying orange-hued gorges, and impossibly green valleys awaits.
Turkey: Walk the West Lycian Way Trail
Trek some of the most spectacular sections of Turkey’s Lycian Way - a long-distance route that runs for over 335 miles between Antalya and Fethiye. It’s a region where the Taurus Mountains sweep down into glittering seas, and rocky tracks contrast against glorious sunsets over the much-loved Turquoise Coast.
Norway’s Fjords, Fells, and Railways
With thundering rivers, sky-blue fjords, and frostbitten peaks punctuated by a flurry of fascinating cities, this trip to Norway ups the ante for natural beauty and standout sightseeing opportunities. We’ll lead you coast to coast across mountains and fjords by rail and boat, visiting Oslo, Bergen, and Stavanger.
Best of Lake Garda
Located in the country’s north and fringed by the mighty Dolomites, Lake Garda tempts with green hills, vineyards, citrus groves, and a series of lakefront towns and villages. Highlights include hiking on Monte Baldo, taking a ride on the Funivia Malcesine cable car, and enjoying a boat trip across to Limone.
Improved itineraries for 2024
Now even better, these itineraries have been tweaked to fit in even more wow-worthy walking and standout sights.
Walking & Sightseeing in Japan
Experience the bullet train speed of life in tech-fuelled Tokyo before journeying to Kyoto’s tranquil zen gardens and walking along one of Japan’s oldest roads. Follow Asuka’s ancient monuments trail and take in a wealth of beauty spots such as Arashiyama – home to the famous bamboo forest.
Walking & Sightseeing in Vietnam
The green peaks around Ninh Binh and rice paddy-covered valleys of Mai Chau form the backdrop for this northern Vietnam tour. Not only will you cruise the emerald waters and limestone outcrops of Halong Bay, but you’ll also take in the sights of Hanoi, explore imperial Hué, and marvel at riverside architecture in Hoi An.
