Our folk jam holidays which appeal mostly to music lovers who have some playing experience. Led by three expert tutors who bring different styles and specialisms, you’ll get to improvise and connect through the power of song. Please note, you will need to bring your own instruments.
Singing Holidays
Led by experienced singer, workshop leader, and vocal coach, Su Grainger, our new choir holidays focus on modern classics and iconic songs. Run as a series that ends with a final performance, these nurturing and fun sessions are a superb way to boost your confidence and challenge your vocal chords.
A superb way to boost your confidence and challenge your vocal chords, our singing holidays include daily sessions with an expert tutor and an informal final performance. Absolute beginners and seasoned singers are welcome – it’s all about taking part and having fun. You can spend your afternoons relaxing at leisure - unless you've booked guided or self-guided countryside walks, of course.
Playing holidays
Prefer an instrument in your hands? Our HF Folk Jam holidays are for players with a bit of experience, with expert tutors leading morning workshops across different styles and techniques, and informal jam sessions in the evening to bring it all together. You'll need to bring your own instrument for these. If you're starting from scratch, HF Ukulele Mele is the gentle way in, suitable for all abilities, with expert-led sessions and free time to swap songs and play together. Either way, you'll spend your days among people who just want to make music.
