On Saturday 1 April 2023, the 109th Annual General Meeting of HF Holidays took place at the Radlett Centre. After a hugely successful event we’re delighted to announce the five elected candidates who will take their seats on our board.

Elected candidates:
Richard Drury – 4 year term & re-elected
Stephen Guile – 4 year term & re-elected
Andrea (Illy) Illingworth – 4 year term - new
Robyn Lynch – 2 years - new
Jerry Gould – 1 year - new

Increase your shares to benefit from higher rates

The Bank of England recently raised interest rates for the eleventh consecutive time, meaning savings rates will rise as a response. The Board has taken this into consideration and introduced TIERED interest rates from 06 April 2023 in accordance with our rule (10.3).

This means that you will now earn 2% interest on your shares.

To qualify for a higher interest rate, you can become an Investment Plus Member and enjoy 2.5% - 3% interest.

Save the date for 2024

Join us for what will be the 110th Annual General Meeting on Saturday 6 April 2024. The location will be announced February 2024.

Thanks to your investment, Longmynd House in Shropshire has recently undergone a £1.2 million makeover. In February, we had the pleasure of welcoming our first guests of the season following the renovations. Despite some minor ongoing works, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we couldn’t be more excited about this new chapter in the house’s history.

We’re pleased to launch an all-new volunteer role for selected holidays in Europe. Our HF Holidays Tour Managers will provide guests with practical support throughout their trip and ensure travel arrangements run as smoothly as possible. Paired with local guides who know a place best, the combined language skills and knowledge of both will ensure our guests get maximum enjoyment out of their trip.

For many years, our Pathways Fund has provided assisted holidays to those who could not otherwise afford one. Since 1998, the fund has helped to protect and improve the countryside where HF Holidays guests and members walk.

A few examples include:

- Putting up signposts, stiles, bridges, and way marks
- Maintaining footpaths, walls, and hedges
- Clearing ponds, removing trees, and planting
- Providing equipment to mountain rescue teams
